Save the Date!
Annual Meeting and Dinner
Saturday, Nov 17th
Our chapter's Annual Meeting and Dinner will be on Saturday evening, November 17th at the St. John's Episcopal Church Hall on N. Main St. in Providence. This is always a great event, including fellowship with other members, summary of the previous year in the chapter, recognition of our leaders and volunteers, presentation of several major awards, including our highest, chapter award, the "Appie of the Year", an interesting guest speaker presentation and great food. So, mark your calendar and save this date. It is hoped that as many members as possible will attend. The registration form will be in the Oct/Nov Gazette.

Special Training for the Online Trip Database
Tuesday, August 28 Trip Submittal Training: Evening 6:30-10:00pm at CCRI, Warwick Campus in room 0074/0076. By January 1, 2008, all trip listings for the Gazette and Outdoors magazine will be entered through the online trip database. This is an opportunity for leaders and sub-chairs to find answers on how to submit your trips and activities using a computer. Computers and instructors will be available for training. See website for more information. Register with Mike Krabach 333-5350 or mkrabach@efortress.com.

Not Satisfied with an AMC Trip?
All of our AMC trips are lead by a group of dedicated, trained volunteers. While we hope that all members have a safe and enjoyable trip each and every time, we recognize this may not always be the case. If you have suggestions to improve future trips, we suggest your first step should be to contact the trip leader. If you still are not satisfied, please contact the sub-chair for that activity. Still not satisfied ? please contact our activities chair- Chris Shafer. Lastly, contact the chapter chair. If a certain style or type of trip that you like doesn't exist, talk to the leader or sub-chair about being a leader and putting your stamp on the organization.
