Sandi found that rocks block the other side of the creek. The most interesting thing was that the surface water, down to about 18 inches was cold and that under that depth was warmer by about 5 degrees. This is due the fresh water coming down the creek floating on top of the saltwater that comes up from the harbor. Putting your arm down into the water column was a nice "mini" science experiment about water density forming layers. Quite common in areas that do not have physical mixing, such as wind and waves.
