What is the Young Members Group?

The Young Members group is here to maximize the AMC experience for 20 and 30-something (and adults of all ages who still think they're 20 or 30-something).

Really all you need to be is young at heart! You may find us at social events and group outings, or out on the trails hiking, camping, paddling, cycling and other activities! Recently we hiked the 78 mile North South trail in it's entirety over several weekends, and now we are planning to start section hiking the 95 mile long Mid-State trail. Our trips are posted on the AMC Narragansett website, as well as on our Facebook group. Members and prospective members are encouraged to join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/AMC.RI.YM/

North-South Trail Maps

Check out the trail maps for the Young Members hikes on the North-South trail. The maps are printable (color best) in 8x10 letter format for easy trail use. The first overview map gives the pages needed for each segment of the trail. The "day" maps give you the general length of each hike. The "page" maps, with better (1:24,000) topographic detail, are printable. If you plan to print maps, read this because printing the maps is dependent on the browser you use. GPS tracks are available for Google Earth on the map page.
