We used one day for hiking in the Woody Point area. The first hike from a popular trailhead. Or call it a parking lot since the trail was a wide path up to a little waterfall. We all agreeded that it was not what we thought it was. We had ezpected to to go up to the top of the mountain. So we went back to the local visitor center ( quite modern and new) and from there hiked up about 1.5 miles to an overlook about a thousand feet above the Bay. The trail was quite well prepared with wooden steps, a board walk over the sensitive plants, and a viewing stand to enjoy the scenery. On our way down we got to see a “wild” moose at about 300 feet (frame 08crop23.jpg)
