Finally established camp at the north end of the lake about 5:00. Near the old trail. We think we did 4 miles today and gained 2080 ft elevation. The wind calmed down as soon as the sun set. Supper again potatos, peas, and jerky. Found nice boulder cave next to camp, suitable for 2 to bivuac.
