A Harvest of activities and fun with Halloween celebration and contra dancing hikes & walks, all levels, paddling, local tours, lawn games, GPS on the trail. Enjoy Crisp autumn air, mountain & lake views and the forest at renovated AMC Cardigan Lodge.

Friday & Saturday dinners BYO Happy Hour, Saturday & Sunday breakfasts & bag lunches. Only $115.00 p/p. Special Rate for kids under 12 is $80.ea.

Now in its 75th year Cardigan Lodge, Alexandria, NH, is about 3.5 hrs from Providence. It was recently renovated. Bunk bedrooms are identical to those at the AMC Highland Center. Woman’s & Men’s bathrooms with showers are also similar to those at Highland Center. It has a large dining room, a living room alcove with crackling fireplace and a sunny deck facing Mt Cardigan. New windows, central heating and insulation make it a very pleasant and comfortable forest accommodation, The Lodge is surrounded by 1200 acres of AMC land and abuts the 5000 acre Mt. Cardigan State Forest in New Hampshire.

Tour: Visit Audubon: Paradise Pt Reservation on Newfound Lake: bird watching, lake views, nice walking trails

Saturday Evening:

5:00 Pumpkin carving. Prize for best
5:30 BYO Happy Hour
6:00 Dinner
7:00 Full Moon hike w naturalist
Staff clears room for dance
7:45 – 9:45 Contra Dance: instruction provided, optional faces/ masks

Sunday Morning:

8 am Breakfast & Bag Lunch

Hike: Morgan –Percival Mountains (Squam Region) Stunning views of Lake Winnipisaukee and Squam Lake
Visit Squam Science Center: wildlife in natural enclosures: black bears, mountain lions, white tail deer, hawks, eagles, vultures, bobcats, otters, self learning devices, exhibits, much more (fee $10.)
Tour: Visit Audubon: Paradise Pt Reservation on Newfound Lake: bird watching, lake views, nice walking trails
