View of Potter Cove on Jamestown from the parking lot above the beach. The safety kayakers were to unload their kayaks here and then drive to the Marina down the block to park their car. The morning was humid and already hot when I got there a little before 7:30 am. The swim was to start at 9:15 am for the first wave of fast swimmers.
