P8200287 After checking the choppy water outside of the hurricane barrier, I decided that AP would be at risk, so we went back to the shore, finding a nice landing place for her to bail out. I paddled back to the car, only 15 minutes away, and drove back to pick up AP and the kayak. The wind from the south was 10-15 mph and gusty so the chop was very rough with a lot of wave reflection around and under the Rt 195 bridge as all the energy was funneled against the hurricane barrier and boxed in with the bridge abutments. |
