08_camp_ir.jpg This photo was an early infrared photo I obtained from the Internet labeled a mirsid image from some department in Michigan. We see here that the image shows the same features as the previous b/w aerial that I found at the camp. IR photos are good because they register vegetation as red, heat absorbing material as black, such as the water. Heat reflection subjects like sand (snow and clouds also) and aluminized roofs as white. This photo is near IR not far IR as seen in some of the satellite images. Near IR is film that can be purchased for you film camera. |
