Train to Chicago was clean and roomy but theseat had hardly and padding, so sleeping in it overnight was uncomfortable. Arrived at Union Station for a 7 hour layover. The train was delayed because of a B&N freight derailment somewhere prevented Amtrak from using the normal track. After sitting in a crowded boarding area for several hours we were allowed to board. The after another hour of sitting the train left at 6:20, only to be delayed 3 miles out for another 45 minutes. Lots of people with kids on the train, but then again these seats are much better.
